My grandmother sends Valentines out ever year to a large list of people. Often they are hand-made - construction paper folded hearts with lace - reminiscent of her school-teacher days. Sadly, her mailbox is often empty and I imagine her making the short trek each day, hopeful, only to find bills and junk in the box. What a "poor Charlie Brown" moment!
It isn't that she isn't loved, it's that people don't send Valentines anymore.
This year I thought I would reverse the disappointment with a hand-made card, and was poking around the internets for some inspiration when I came across this set of Rococo letter-pressed heart valentines, and fell right in love. Pure elegance.
Won't she be delighted to find one of these in her box?
